What is it?
Creation Myth: a Naruto Mythology Zine is a multi-part project consisting of creation stories, myths, and folklore from around the world, reimagined with the characters of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden! <3
What’s in the project?
SO MUCH AMAZING STUFF!!!!
1.) A Traditional Zine- (art + fic) 11” x 8.5” (28cm x 21.6cm) landscape orientation, perfect-bound, and tentatively includes:
(1) Wraparound cover illustration
(24) Interior illustrations – accompanied by ficlets!
(6) Interior illustrations - accompanied by 3k fics!
And a ton of merch!
Prints, postcards, stickers, charms, metal bookmarks, enamel pins, leatherette notebooks, and more! Fill out our interest check to choose your favorites.
2.) P4PZines’ Annual Pin-Up Calendar- 8.5” x 11” (21.6cm x 28cm), staple-bound, featuring Naruto characters as mythological creatures/divinities:
(1) Single page cover illustration
(12) Interior illustrations
And merch to be determined!
3.) A Bestiary- (art + fic) 8.5” (21.6cm) square, perfect-bound, wherein authors and illustrators can create journal entries based on mythological creature encounters from a Naruto character’s perspective. It’s going to be SUPER fun!

Absolutely! Feel free to make your suggestions on our interest check! Plus, you’ll be seeing some familiar names from Dreams of Peace reprising their role to bring these amazing world mythologies and creation stories to life in each of their unique, gorgeous styles!!!
Who can apply?
Creation Myth is looking for page artists, cover artists, authors, merch artists, and pin-up artists! This is a large, inclusive project and we would love to see a broad spectrum of talent!!! Zine applicants are required to be 18y/o and up, or over the age of majority in their respective countries at the time of their application.
Can I apply for multiple roles?
You certainly may!
What do I need to have in order to apply?
For this project, we’ll be asking art contributors to submit 3-5 pieces of work that demonstrate their ability (some of which will need to be full illustrations with backgrounds, unless applying to be a merch artist). Writers will be asked to submit at least three links or a compiled document of excerpts for those stories they feel best represent them as authors.
It’s not mandatory that the art submitted be from Naruto, however, the majority of your writing submissions will need to demonstrate a grasp of characterization from the Naruto series.
Some people will submit direct links to their work and some will prefer to compile their work into one google drive folder or website. Any style of submission is acceptable!
What will contributors receive for their participation?
As with all prior P4Pzines projects, all contributors will receive a free contributor bundle + free shipping, regardless of sales! Contributor bundles are always prefunded. ^_^
Is this a for profit or charity project?
Neither! It’s P4P!!!
Here at P4P Zines, our focus is on bringing amazing art to your doorstep for as close to “Pay for Production” pricing as possible! This is our way of giving back to fandom and saying “thank you” to the community that has provided us with both entertainment and support throughout the years.
